St. Joseph the Worker School has a developmentally appropriate music
curriculum, which was developed to correlate with the National Standards
for Music Education.
Our students are provided with various opportunities to engage in all
forms of musical activities be it as the listener or the performer.
Students are exposed to a variety of musical genres and history.
The music room was designed for teaching all aspects and formats of the
music curriculum. Textbooks, CDs, Smartboard, VHS, recorders,
instruments, and a
piano enrich the program.
Our music teacher directs the middle school choir.
There is an independent instrumental program offered to students. We
have a school band as a result of this program. The student band holds two
concerts a year.
