Social Studies


The goal of the Social Studies curriculum is to explore the foundation of our culture and the world around us at each grade and developmental level.  Current events are an integral part of the curriculum at each grade.  In various grades the Social Studies curriculum is enhanced by assemblies and field trips. The Social Studies curriculum is divided into three general areas that are introduced, developed, mastered and maintained.  The three areas are:  Geography, Economics and History/Political Science.  The units covered are:

In the Primary Grades:

In the Middle School

·         The World: Civilization of the Ancients

The Social Studies curriculum strives to introduce our students to the concepts that will shape and strengthen their perception of self and others as children of God.
